About Joanna
I have studied English since I was 8 years old, in Poland and in Canada. I have learned my basics in Poland, after which I have continued learning in high school in Canada, and then in an English teaching training school in Poland with a big focus on writing and grammar, as speaking I have already learned in Canada. Consequently my level of English knowledge allowed to publish couple articles and obtain my degree with honors.
My bilingualism and teaching education allowed me to see the perspective of a student learning or improving their knowledge of a language. This helps me adjust to students' needs and interests, as I remember what I and my colleagues needed in and after a class.

I provide lessons to people at any age with any level, from a beginner to advanced. I can provide grammar, reading, writing, and speaking lessons, with different focus depending on needs and interests of a student for whom English is a first or second language.
I do not have 1 standard lesson plan, as every student is different and different things work for them; therefore I try to adjust to the needs of a student, their interests, strengths and weaknesses I discover though lessons and conversations with a student.
My lessons include power-point presentations, text, various exercises, and conversations in a language we study. All depending on a reason why a student want/need the lessons.
For instance, if your interests involve history or geography I can try to include that in a lesson or homework in order to strengthen your interest, and help you look forward to another class. I will not teach you history or geography, but I can include your favorite topics in an English/Polish teaching lesson.
I try to be creative because one of the most important things is to be motivated and consistent with taking lessons, not to lose interest before achieving your goal(s).
