About Maria Alice
With my bachelor in Business and a Post Graduation in Data Science at UC Berkeley, I am an MSc candidate in Behavioral Science with 12 years of experience leading data, growth and business intelligence projects in companies like ABInBev, Itau, Stone Co, Alura and many others. I have mentored and developed many young professionals throughout my career, especially in data analytics, data science and business intelligence.

Our lessons will be 100% practical and case-based. I only learned statistics after I understood what I would use it for. Every class will have a specific theme, with a pre-reading and an exercise list, agreed on the week before. If you already have specific exercise lists from your course, we will work based on it, but not limited to it. The class will consist of: 1. Review of the exercise list for doubts clarification and practice adjustment 2. Review of the reading for doubts and concepts clarification 3. Theoretical explanation (bringing tips, hints and more complex concepts if needed) 4. Discussion of real-world cases At the end of each class, we will build, together, a cheat sheet to study this theme and reinforce important concepts and methodologies, solving the identified gaps. As I have many years of practical experiences, I lead my students through real-world use case discussions. This way, they are able to better recall each subject. I have experience teaching undergraduate students, MSc students, PhD students, researchers and young professionals.
