About Victoria
Hello everyone, my name is Victoria Marquez. I have a degree in Kinesiology with a minor in math. I have always strived in my math and science classes and excel at teaching both subjects. I take pride in my tutoring job as I have been a tutor for over 10 years. I have helped D-students complete their year with As. I believe that as long as the student has a will to learn there are always different ways to teach and explain a topic for them to understand. Seeing the student's facial expressions when they finally understand a concept is what makes my job feel rewarding. Learning how the student thinks and figuring out the best way to explain it is how I approach my tutoring sessions.

I believe that every student can learn the material that is being given to them, the issue is figuring out how the student learns in order to grasp the material and learn how to apply it in every day life. As a tutor I believe that everyone has their own way of grasping information and it is my job as the tutor to explain it. I also make sure to have back up examples or explanations in case the student does not understand my first attempt. This is important to notify because the student is never at fault when they can't comprehend a topic especially if they are not understanding what is being asked of them to do, that is when the tutor must paraphrase which is exactly what I tend to do.
