About Jovy Lyn
I have been working with children from ages 3-14 years. Through working with such diverse age groups, I have learned to build a professional relationship with my students and their parents to provide them with the most individualized lessons suitable for their needs. I currently teach Kindergarten where I focus on early reading and mathematical skills like phonics, phonemic awareness, number sense, subitizing, etc. I have previous experience tutoring math and ELA to older students from grades 2-8.

I provide a variety of age appropriate activities such as signing, games, puzzles, flash cards and practice worksheets to help my students improve in the subject area. My lessons typically provide students with a variety of strategies and examples that they can use and add to their bag of knowledge. I also encourage open communication with parents to provide progress updates of their child’s learning and growth.
