About Shayan

As a college law student, I am confident in the belief that literacy plays a crucial role in the successful integration of individuals in modern society. Efficient communication and the expression of thoughts heavily rely on essential English language and writing skills. With great responsibility, I take charge of ensuring that all my students possess these skills.

About the lesson

My primary objective is to create comprehensive English language courses that are not only interesting but also practical, enabling learners to enhance their literacy proficiency in a meaningful way.

Beginners level (suitable for younger or foreign students):

As your dedicated assistant, I am committed to helping you improve your fundamental English language skills. We will work together to enhance your grammar, punctuation, spelling, reading comprehension, and sentence structure. To achieve this goal, we will utilize a variety of resources, such as dynamic slides, detailed book page analyses, informative videos, and informative sentence annotations. To assess your progress, you will be given small assignments to complete, which will enable me to identify areas where you need additional support. Following each session, I will assign you a brief homework assignment, which I will review and provide feedback on. To make the learning process more enjoyable and stimulating, I recommend incorporating interactive quizzes to keep you engaged and motivated.

Intermediate Level (Suitable for older and or foreign students)

In my professional opinion, I firmly believe that students at this particular level would greatly benefit from learning and analysing various English language techniques. These techniques include hyperbole, alliteration, personification, simile, oxymoron, symbolism, metaphors, assonance, and imagery. By incorporating these techniques into their sentences, students can effectively communicate their ideas and thoughts in a more impactful way.

To ensure that students can identify these techniques in different sources, such as books and videos, I will provide them with readings and short assignments. These exercises will help the students to better understand and appreciate the nuances of the English language and will also help them to improve their overall writing skills.

In addition to these assignments, I will also provide creative writing tasks that will allow the students to use their imagination and apply the skills learned in our sessions. These tasks will be designed to evaluate their proficiency level more efficiently and will allow me to provide them with personalized feedback on their work. Overall, I am confident that these techniques will help to cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation of the English language among the students and will help them to excel in their academic and professional pursuits.
In addition to teaching English skills, I believe it's important and fascinating to introduce students to sociological and philosophical subjects. We can have stimulating discussions on a range of topics that impact modern society, like racism, education, gender, and class inequality (and other topics they suggest). Afterwards, students can write about a topic they feel strongly about using the skills they've learned in class.
