About Sahil
Hello, my name is Sahil, and I am a physics major at the University of California, Berkeley. I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and earned 5s on both the AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C: Mechanics exams. I tutor middle school and high school students in math, physics, and statistics.
Studying physics at a top public university means I use these subjects every day, and I know how each concept builds on the last. I take my role seriously: I arrive prepared for every session, respect your time, and tailor each lesson to your school curriculum and goals.
I understand that asking for help can feel uncomfortable, so I keep lessons patient, supportive, and judgment-free. My goal is to help you understand the material, build confidence, and see real progress in your grades.

I believe math and physics make sense once you understand why a formula works, not just how to plug numbers into it. I start by finding out where you're stuck, then rebuild the idea from the ground up using plain language, diagrams, and real-world examples. From there we work through problems together, and I gradually step back so you're the one solving them. My goal is for you to be able to do it on your own.
A typical lesson:
Quick check-in (5 to 10 min): We go over homework, upcoming tests, and anything that felt confusing since last time.
Concept review (15 to 20 min): I explain the topic step by step, using examples and sketches, and ask you questions along the way so it's a conversation, not a lecture.
Guided practice (20 to 30 min): You work through problems while I coach. I'll give hints instead of answers so you build real problem-solving skills.
Wrap-up (5 min): We recap what we covered and set a short practice plan before the next session.
