I am a dedicated life coach, SEND specialist, and experienced maths teacher committed to helping students unlock their potential. With years of experience supporting learners with diverse needs, including those with behavioural and emotional challenges, I bring patience, structure, and empathy to every session. My approach to tutoring is rooted in empathy, structure, and the belief that every child has potential waiting to be unlocked. As a SEND teacher, maths tutor, and life coach, I create a calm and supportive learning environment where children feel safe, motivated, and understood. I have worked extensively with children who present challenging behaviour and know that with the right support, patience, and encouragement, they can thrive. I personalise each session to suit the learner’s needs and emotional state, using visual aids, step-by-step guidance, and real-world examples to make maths both accessible and relevant. I incorporate coaching strategies to help learners build confidence and self-awareness, guiding them to set goals and celebrate progress, however small. When challenges arise, I offer compassionate, firm support to help them stay focused and emotionally regulated. Lessons are one hour long and include a quick check-in, review of previous content, focused learning on a particular topic, an interactive activity to reinforce understanding, and a short wrap-up with positive feedback and next steps. I have supported students from primary to secondary level, particularly those with SEND such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and specific learning difficulties. My experience spans across mainstream and specialist settings, working closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a joined-up approach. I am deeply committed to being a positive influence in my students’ lives—someone who not only helps them learn but also encourages them to believe in themselves during their most difficult moments. My goal is to bring out the best in every learner by creating an environment where they feel respected, supported, and empowered.
