Hi! I’m Samira, a Biomedical Science Honours student with a passion for science, learning, and helping others succeed academically. Having completed both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, I’ve spent years immersed in the world of molecular life sciences, genetics, microbiology, and many other fields. My own academic journey has made me appreciate how challenging yet rewarding learning can be, and it’s this experience that drives me to share what I’ve learned with others.

As an honours student in Biomedical Science, I understand the importance of clear, structured, and well-researched assessments. I guide students through the process of:
- Understanding the assessment criteria: Breaking down rubrics and requirements to ensure students meet expectations.

- Structuring essays and reports: Providing frameworks for writing clear, cohesive, and logically organized essays, lab reports, and research papers.
- Editing and refining: Focusing on clarity, grammar, and coherence to improve the overall quality of writing.
- For high school students, I also provide assistance with basic writing skills, essay structure, and techniques for exam responses, ensuring they are well-prepared for both assignments and exams.

Typical Length of a Lesson: A typical session for assessment writing support lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s needs and the complexity of the task. For high school students, sessions are often structured around specific assignments or exam preparation, while for university students, sessions may involve detailed feedback on drafts, brainstorming, and building effective writing strategies.

Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: I am a Biomedical Science Honours student with degrees in both Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Biomedical Science. Having completed numerous research reports, essays, and scientific papers throughout my academic journey, I bring hands-on experience and a solid understanding of what it takes to succeed in both high school and university assessments.

In addition to my academic qualifications, I have extensive experience tutoring at the university level in subjects such as Genetics, Microbiology, and Research Methods. My focus on academic writing and assessment support allows students to improve their writing skills and approach assignments with confidence.
