About Olivia
Hello!
I recently graduated from the University of Bristol with a 2.1 in English Literature. I received 100% in my English Literature A Level paper while my Drama A Level paper has been my school’s exemplar for 4 years running.
Outside of this, I am an actress, so I have a broad knowledge of plays as well as novels and poetry.
Yeats wrote that “In dreams begins responsibility”, and it is the way in which the wielding of language and the sphere of the imagination can bring to life universal concerns and unite us all that I find to be so wondrous in Literature. This, to me, is much of the reason why Shakespeare’s plays especially remain a vital part of our culture - be they about love, jealousy or pride, they resonate with the things that make us human, fallible, and yet, “the quintessence of dust”.
I’m sure you can tell how much of a book nerd I am! I want nothing more than to share this love with those who have not yet been enchanted by the literary world.
