About Zahra

I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. With a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Pre-Medicine) from UTS and a Master’s in Orthoptics currently in progress, I bring both expertise and real-world experience to my teaching. Having sat the GAMSAT myself, I understand the demands of academic writing and exam preparation, particularly for GAMSAT Section II. I specialize in supporting high school students in English, History, and Studies of Religion, as well as university students and GAMSAT candidates seeking to improve their essay writing skills. My lessons focus on building confidence, critical thinking, and clear communication, tailored to each student’s goals. I provide detailed, constructive feedback and practical strategies to help students strengthen their writing and achieve better results. Professional, reliable, and committed to my students’ progress, I create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to reach their potential. About the lesson

I take a student-centred approach, tailoring each lesson to meet individual learning goals and styles. I focus on building confidence in writing by breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. My teaching methodology combines discussion, guided practice, and detailed feedback to help students improve their structure, clarity, and argumentation. For GAMSAT Section II, I provide strategies for idea generation, timed writing practice, and in-depth essay feedback to strengthen written communication under exam conditions.

A typical lesson is 60 minutes, structured around reviewing previous work, introducing key skills, and applying them through practice and discussion. I hold a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Pre-Medicine) from UTS and am completing a Master’s in Orthoptics. I’ve sat the GAMSAT myself and understand what examiners look for in high-scoring essays. I’ve also helped high school and university students improve their writing across subjects.

My lessons are suitable for high school students (Years 7–12) studying English, History, or Studies of Religion, university students needing essay support, and GAMSAT candidates preparing for Section II. I offer online lessons via Zoom or Teams for flexibility and convenience.
