Lecture on reading rhythm notes from basics to advanced Reading rhythms to develop skills with the stick stick Control Reading rhythms to develop independence in the battery 4 way coordination Reading rhythms to develop phrases in the battery Reading music scores for Rock, Jazz, Pop, Latin, Brazilian Rhythms and Big Band. Second half of class I work with several play-alongs of songs of the student's choice to learn to actually play along with the other instruments, to take the music itself with all its parts, from beginning to end. Didactics directed to the wants and needs of the student, the student chooses the style he prefers to focus on. techniques of how to tune the instrument, including tuning with musical tonalities of the tempered system.
