About Yumna
I am a third-year undergrad student and I bring both tutoring experience and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. My teaching method focuses on simplifying complex concepts into clear, structured steps while tailoring lessons to match each student’s unique learning style. I’ve worked with students who needed everything from a confidence boost to targeted test prep, and I know how to create an encouraging environment where progress feels achievable. A typical lesson begins with a quick review of the previous topic to ensure retention, followed by guided instruction on new material. We’ll work through examples together before moving into independent practice, where I provide real-time feedback. I like to end each session with a brief recap and a mini “roadmap” so students know exactly what to focus on before our next meeting.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students on a personal level — I’ve been where you are, so I understand the frustration when concepts don’t click right away. I focus on building both subject knowledge and confidence, so students leave not just knowing the material, but feeling capable of handling future challenges.
