About Gretchen
"Students usually believe that math is purely about memorizing formulas rather than understanding the underlying logic. I found through my 11 years of experience and my transition from General Assembly training into software engineering that math is the heartbeat of all code.
I help learners grasp mensuration, arithmetic, number sense, and competition math prep. We explore exam preparation, algebra, geometry, and calculus together. I enjoy showing how these concepts appear in real projects. It is really just about identifying the patterns that exist everywhere."

"Seeing a complex equation turn into a simple script is the best part of my day. I often think about how my 11 years of work as an engineer relies on the foundational math I studied long ago. My approach mixes standard lessons with clear code examples to show why these numbers matter in the real world.
