About Bea
I am a Double-First class graduate of Cambridge University, where I studied Archaeology. Previously, I attained 3 A* at A-level, in Politics, History, and English Literature. Since graduation, I have spent 18 months living in China where I learned Mandarin - I then moved to the USA to study a one year graduate programme at Harvard.
I think I would be especially suited tutoring students looking to refine their essay technique at GSCE and A-Level, as well as proof-reading theses for Bachelor's students. Given that I am the recipients of several scholarships, I can also offer valuable help writing academic application essays and resumés, as well as Oxbridge preparation.
Whilst in China I peer mentored several Chinese high-school and university students improve their English, where we focused on essay building and proofreading. I was a member of the senior editorial team of my university's student newspaper as an undergraduate, so I have a good eye for detail.

As a postgraduate level student, I would be happy tutoring subject-specific classes focusing on my areas of speciality (History, English, and Politics) to students at either GCSE or A-Level. This would focus largely around set texts and practice papers, but I would to open classes with revision, and close with a fresh text (be this from a book, journal, or newspaper) to work on discussion, critique and wider engagement.
I can also offer classes specialising in applications to university (including Oxbridge), as well as post-graduate research proposals and scholarship applications. Here I can assist with any part of the process,
from initial brainstorming, through drafting and editing.
