About Jamie
I am a recent graduate of the University of Cambridge, where I achieved a 2.i in Archaeology with Egyptology, including a First (73) on my undergraduate dissertation. Previously, I attended Worcester Sixth Form College and Bishop Perowne Church of England College - both state-funded schools. My A-Level subjects were Archaeology (A*), Classical Civilisation (A*) and English Literature (A), including an Extended Project Qualification (A* - Full Marks).
I provide compassionate and experienced support to students aiming to be admitted to higher education establishments, notably more competitive universities (Oxbridge/Russel Group/Red Brick). Additionally, I am willing to tutor students studying or applying for one or more of my A-Level subjects. I am also available for support on study skills and proofreading for research projects e.g. dissertation, coursework, or EPQ.
My previous experience includes working in outreach programmes with the University of Cambridge (open days, careers fairs, Year 12 residential trips), where I have provided support with their course and college decisions, including personal statement and interview preparation. I additionally have worked with students from Worcester Sixth Form College on their application processes and in providing a well-rounded and accurate depiction of attending Oxbridge as a student.

I aim to incorporate flexible and accessible teaching methods that can be moulded to the needs and concerns of each student. My tutoring sessions will always be a safe environment where students can discuss their worries and make mistakes without judgement.
I will work collaboratively with students on constructing and evaluating their work or personal statements, to ensure that my students can see the extent of their capabilities by introducing them to new techniques and study skills and confronting how they navigate academic environments.
