We met at the institute of Religion, Culture and Peace, Payap University, where I was the director of Peace Studies for Ph. D. Programme in Peacebuilding, and he a student. He was one of the most energetic students, and had an impressive passion for scholarship. His thesis on the struggle in Nepal is a tour de force. I have no doubt that he will make an enthusiastic teacher/researcher, and will produce good scholarly works.

Bitmap Dahal was as student of me mine in 2016-2017 in the Graduate Program in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence at Brandeis University. I was the professor for two of his courses and supervised his masters’ thesis. I also wrote the preface for a book he wrote, titled Rationalities of Terrorism in Nepal. He was a very good student in both of my courses. However my highest recommendation comes from reading his book. Mr. Dahal exhibited an extensive command of academic English and understanding of the concept of rationality as understood in both East and West. He also demonstrated an exceptional understanding of, and ability to express, the development of thought in a variety of related disciplines within both Eastern and Western cultural contexts. He certainly has the necessary facility with academic English to be a Superprof teacher.
