About Kayla
Hi there! I am a certified middle school English Language Arts teacher with experience helping students strengthen their reading, writing, grammar and critical thinking skills. I currently teach 6th grade and have experience working with students of varying abilities, including those with IEPs and multilingual learners.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I personalize every lesson to meet their individual needs and learning style. Whether your child needs help catching up, building confidence, preparing for tests, or excelling in class, I provide patient, engaging instruction in a supportive environment.
My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students become independent, confident learners who feel capable of tackling new challenges. I look forward to partnering with your family to help your child reach their full potential!

I believe every student can succeed when they feel supported, challenged and understood. My tutoring sessions are personalized to each student's learning style, strengths and goals. Rather than simply giving answers, I help students build the confidence and skills to solve problems independently. I create a patient, encouraging environment where mistakes are viewed as opportunities to learn. Whether we're working on reading comprehension, grammar, essay writing, or test preparation, my goal is to help students become stronger, more confident learners both in and outside the classroom.
