About Emily
I had been a high school Spanish tutor for 3 years, and unofficially an English teacher to coworkers, friends, family, and strangers for 8 years. I believe teachers need to customize their teaching methods based on the student—everyone learns differently! I don't believe in punishment or putting someone down. People want to learn a language for a reason, they should never dread coming to class because it's stressful. I have education in patient care, but in doing so, it has taught me how to teach people through all walks of life, even though the subject isn't learning English.

Hello! I'm Emily from the United States. I am excited to help you learn English! I believe that learning should be fun, never stressful. I know learning languages is difficult for many people; I have learned Spanish and a bit of French, and currently I am focusing on Portuguese. I know what it's like to start as a beginner and be frustrated. But I also know what a difference it makes to have a great teacher!
