My name is Jeffrey, and I am a dedicated ESL teacher with a Master’s degree in Education and an official ESL endorsement. I have experience working with young learners in both classroom and online settings, where I focus on helping students build strong language foundations and confidence in communication.

I take a professional, structured approach to teaching while keeping lessons engaging and supportive. Students and families can expect clear instruction, organized lessons, and a positive learning environment where progress is always the goal. I am committed to showing up prepared, on time, and ready to meet each student’s individual needs.

I understand that every learner develops at their own pace, so I provide guidance, encouragement, and consistent feedback to help students grow. My goal is not only to improve English skills, but also to help students feel confident using the language in real-life situations.

About the lesson

My name is Jeffrey, and I am a certified ESL teacher with a Master’s degree in Education and an ESL endorsement. My approach as a tutor is centered on making learning clear, engaging, and confidence-building, especially for young learners.

I use a structured teaching method based on the Gradual Release of Responsibility: I do, we do, you do. This means I first model the language, then guide students through practice, and finally support them as they use English independently. I also incorporate visuals, gestures, repetition, and simple sentence frames to make lessons easy to understand and interactive.

A typical lesson includes a quick warm-up, a vocabulary or language focus, guided speaking practice, and an independent activity in which students use what they’ve learned. I always include opportunities for students to speak, because building confidence in communication is my top priority.

What sets me apart is my ability to combine classroom experience with creativity. As both a teacher and an artist, I use visuals, storytelling, and fun activities to keep students engaged while still maintaining clear learning goals. I also understand how to support multilingual learners at different levels and adjust my teaching to meet their needs.

My lessons are best suited for young learners (ages 5–12) and beginner-to-intermediate English students who want to improve their speaking, listening, and foundational reading skills in a supportive, encouraging environment.
