About Christie
With nearly two decades of experience as a teacher, instructional coach, and school leader, I bring a deep understanding of how students learn — and what they need to succeed. I am a National Board Certified Exceptional Needs Specialist, and I have supported learners from elementary school through adult education, including aspiring teachers preparing for Praxis exams. My background in special education, instructional leadership, and data-driven teaching allows me to meet students exactly where they are and help them grow with confidence.

I teach using a blend of explicit instruction, diagnostic assessment, and strategic scaffolding — the same methods I’ve used to coach teachers and support diverse learners across my career.
Warm-up check-in — Quick review of previous goals, questions, or homework.
Mini-lesson — Direct instruction on a targeted skill or concept.
Guided practice — We work through problems or scenarios together with immediate feedback.
Independent application — Students apply skills on their own while I observe and coach.
Error analysis — We examine mistakes to build metacognition and test-readiness.
Closing + next steps — Clear goals, optional homework, and pacing recommendations.
