About Serena
I am currently certified special education, teacher with five years experience teaching. I see students for basic reading, reading comprehension, reading InFluency and written expression. I have used many different curriculums, and I am aware of which ones encourage student growth. I go slowly through any new materials being introduced, and I go at the students pace. I have experience since June a small group setting so I am well aware of how to pace instruction while keeping the students in mind

I design my lesson plans with my students in mind. I teach using the I do we do you do method. This allows the students to really see and understand how they should be accomplishing their work. I often use a think aloud strategy, which also allows us students to demonstrate higher level, thinking to really understand how they should be attempting to solve the work.I go slowly through new strategies and methods to really ensure students are understanding
