I am a certified teacher with over eleven years of experience supporting students from early childhood through high school. My approach as a tutor is centered on building confidence, connection, and clarity for every student I work with. As a certified teacher with over eleven years of experience, I believe that students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and engaged.
I use a student-centered approach, adapting my teaching style to match each learner’s needs, pace, and learning preferences. I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and use a variety of techniques such as guided practice, real-life examples, visual supports, and interactive questioning to ensure understanding. I also focus on positive reinforcement to help build confidence and motivation.
A typical session begins with a quick check-in or review to assess prior understanding. From there, I introduce or revisit a concept using clear explanations and examples. Students then practice with support before applying independently. I always leave time for questions, reflection, and feedback to reinforce learning and identify next steps.
What sets me apart is my flexibility and range of experience teaching students from Pre-K to Grade 12 across multiple subjects. I am highly adaptable, patient, and skilled at meeting students where they are. I prioritize creating a safe, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
