About Adam M
I’m an educator with a background in both teaching and one-on-one support. For the past three years, I’ve been teaching a combined Grade 4/5 class, designing hands-on, creative learning experiences that help students stay engaged and curious. Before that, I spent several years tutoring students of all ages through a local tutoring company, building personalized learning plans that actually work.
I also come from a background in the hospitality industry, where I worked as a training specialist opening different restaurants all over Ontario. That experience taught me how to lead with empathy and flexibility; skills that carry over directly into how I teach.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. Every student has their own pace, strengths, and needs. My goal is to meet them where they are, help them identify opportunities for growth, and build a path forward that feels both achievable and empowering.

I believe students learn best when they have some ownership in the process. I let my students help guide where our lessons go so we can build a real relationship ; one where trust, comfort, and curiosity lead the way. Once I get to know how a student thinks and learns, I create a lesson plan tailored specifically to their needs.
I focus on finding the little tricks and entry points that lead to those “aha” moments, the ones that make learning click. I specialize in working with students who feel like they've been left behind or overlooked in the classroom. With the right approach, I've seen students regain their confidence and get excited about learning again.
I support all subject areas, from science to language arts, and have experience working with students from kindergarten through Grade 12.
