About Jake
I am a certified TESOL/TESL teacher currently working at a major International Development agency in New York. I hold degrees in Law and Human Rights and have provided tutoring in English and thesis writing to students across the world. During my career I have worked in numerous countries teaching students ranging from elementary school children to C-suite level executives. This has helped me to develop a broad set of skills as I seek to meet the needs of all my clients. I have also committed to my own language-learning goals and am able to teach comfortably in either Mandarin or French.

Having taught students with varied professional backgrounds, cultures and first languages, I understand there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to learning. As such, I work with each of my students to develop a learning plan tailored towards their respective overall goals and targets. I prioritize flexibility, creativity and interactivity to my lessons to ensure all my students remain engaged and motivated to progress at their own pace if needed!
