About Lee
Hey guys, my name is Lee Ding, I'm from China. I used to work in events industry for six years, where I enjoyed my position as a full time team member and organizer of various events. I started teaching as a volunteer six years ago with an NGO where I taught spoken English to children in migrant schools. This experience inspired me to fully devote myself into teaching, both Mandarin and English. My hobbies are swimming, snorkeling, surfing, cycling, drawing henna, learning Spanish, photography and of course traveling. I'm also running a program where I take volunteers to Bali to do volunteer work in places like orphanages.

I have five years experience teaching Mandarin and English, for both adults and children. My theory of learning a foreign language is that you should speak as much as possible with no fear of making mistakes. I focus on conversation over pure grammar acquisition, but that doesn't mean grammar isn’t important. I encourage students to read out loud every day as I believe repetition and imitation are the key to learning a foreign language. Students will be given lots of opportunities to practice.
