About Luke
I am in my final year of a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Italian and German Studies which I am completing online through Macquarie University. I wish to teach Italian and German because my two passions in life are these languages and helping others. Learning languages enables communication with many people and, hence, often leads to friendships. I have a lot of experience with Italian and German - as well as being selected to be a mentor for 'Beyond Babel', I was awarded Wade High School's MA Graham Award for 'Outstanding effort in Languages Other Than English' in 2018 and Macquarie University's European Union Prize for 'outstanding performance in Series 5-7 units in languages of the European Union' in 2020. Having been a languages student for many years, there is nothing more satisfying to me than helping others succeed on their respective languages journeys!

I will teach my students privately. I will happily assist them with work if they bring it to me, and am happy to prepare lessons if/when required. I will constantly request lesson feedback and will insist my students revise content regularly to ensure they remember vocabulary and grammar rules covered. My lessons will typically be one hour long, but I am willing to give students as much time as they need/would like. I regularly assisted fellow students with Italian and German tasks when I studied these subjects in primary and secondary school and at university. In 2021, I was selected to be a mentor for 'Beyond Babel' - an online languages programme. I will happily teach individuals of all ages and language abilities.
