About Amy
My name is Amy and I am a final year Classical Literature and English student at the University of Leeds, graduating in July of this year. I have always had a passion for both history and literature and found my niche in Greek literature of the classical world. During my time at university, I have been a committee member of the academic society for Classics, which has involved encouraging and supporting students in the subject area and sharing my passion for the subject with likeminded individuals. I enjoyed my time immensely at university and hope that through tutoring, I can continue to share the enjoyment of these subjects with young people, and hopefully inspire some more classics and literature students.

I believe in a hands-on, interactive approach to teaching. My lessons are a two-way exchange between student and myself, and I encourage students to think about where they need help with their English and literature skills in order to fully maximise the time spent in lessons. It is my belief that lessons do not work if a student is not engaged, so I encourage my students to be openminded with a can-do attitude. Most importantly, I wish to share my love of English and Classics with my students and hopefully allow them to become as passionate about them as myself!
Lessons are tailored to the individual's needs dependent upon subject and qualification. They will involve both exercises in their chosen area and one-to-one support on their academic writing.
Lessons are 1 hour and tailored for GCSE and A Level students.
