About Jay
I have taught a few crash-courses in ancient Greek and Latin. In the case of the two Greek courses, in both cases my students were able to read and understand standard Greek texts (like Euclid and Homer) with assistance.
I am also very friendly and I don’t believe in shaming students when they don’t understand!

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Religion from Williams College and I love to teach! My literary specialty in Greek is epic and lyric poetry, while I also have experience in Socratic philosophy, drama, and Koinē/Biblical. In Latin, my specialty is political works (like Caesar and Cicero), but I have also read Virgil and ecclesiastical Latin extensively. I am 23 years old and I have experience teaching both of these subjects with success. Right now, I am a visiting scholar in Latin and Greek at Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University in Ramtek, India.
I can also teach elementary Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, and Sanskrit.
