About Xolile
My name is Xolile Noluthando Khumalo. I am 21 years old, I am a graduate from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Clinical Sociology Honors. I am an ambitious learner and dedicated worker; moreover, I am extremely confident that I can execute a tutoring duty to my fullest. I love sharing my knowledge with others and watching them grow. I grew up in Nkandla in a rural area; growing up there taught me how important language is, especially English. It is difficult to adapt to an urban area when you are coming from a rural community. Hence, I want to help students to be comfortable in any community by teaching them English because it is very important in our days. I love teaching English because it provides unique perks, including building bonds with my students and opening the doors to life-changing experiences of teaching English in another country. I was doing English studies when I was in university because I am willing to give a change and support everyone who finds it difficult to communicate effectively.

Some of my greatest strengths are that I am very energetic and patient; furthermore, everything I am doing is for love, and love helps me to do my role to the fullest. I lean on these qualities heavily while I am tutoring. I think my energy will help keep students engaged and motivated with the material, and my patience will allow them to move at their own learning pace comfortably. As a tutor, I will start off by knowing how much the student already knows, and I will then know how to start teaching from there. Learning a language is tough, but my job as a tutor is to know how to encourage the student when s/he feels like giving up. I will make sure to give my students constructive feedback and help them to learn from it. Getting regular feedback from students is also important, so I will be aware of how students perceive lessons and to make sure they are happy.
