About Lindsay

I am a college freshman who is currently rediscovering my skills in mathematics after a year out of schooling. I've always struggled with math because I couldn't compute things the way others could. A lot of my teachers focused on memorization without teaching the importance of that technique in the real world. Consistently, math is seen as a boring subject, but it enables students to think critically and have fun. It doesn't have to be boring or 'bad' and you are not 'bad' either. Struggling is okay! With self-compassion, a bit of fun, and individualized learning strategies, you can find ways to cope with your struggles and learn in a way that suits you.

I am currently excelling in high school level math, including exponential equations, functions, and geometry. Of course, I do have the qualifications to help students of younger ages learn how to count, multiply, divide, and more. Anything that I don't know, we will work on together at no extra cost!

I will go by whatever you are learning and will ask you for test scores so we can ensure that you are learning. I've always learned that practice makes permanent, so it is likely that we will do some problems outside of your homework, textbook, or quizzing so that you can have a chance to see what you know.

I will assign homework on a need-to-assign basis, with the understanding that you probably already have other homework assignments in the same subject.
