I’m a pretty lax person and would prefer to fit my teaching style to the student’s learning style. Hopefully we can get along well and see what works best for us!
I have always loved English class— the only classes I have consistently gotten an “A” in. Whether it’s reading English literature (Jane Austen is my fav!), playing word games like Scrabble, writing poems, or churning out essays for AP Lang, I love it all. English is my passion, and as a recent high school graduate, I know what it’s like for high school students going into their respective English programs. I will do my best to help you with what you need, which includes preparing for the AP exams (I got a 4 on AP Lit last year and am expecting a 5 on this year’s AP Lang test) and the ACT (my highest are 35 on English and 32 on Reading).
I hope to make my students passionate about English as well!
