About Catherine
I’m in my mid-20’s. I’m bilingual, I speak both Spanish and English fluently and read and write in both languages. I’m a college graduate with a a major in English Literature. I’m an experienced tutor for a few years now. I’ve taught grades kindergarten all the way up until 12th grade. I am a creative thinker as I am a writer. I do define myself as a poet. Currently working on my first poetry book. I Enjoy helping others with the right attitude and attention especially when it comes to education. I believe learning doesn’t have to be hard, it all has to do with how it’s being delivered!

I Believe that everyone has a different way of learning, so I accommodate to my students way of understanding in order to meet their needs. My lessons are short, direct and broken into categories. In each lesson I like to have a goal to focus on and achieve at the end of the session. I don’t move on to the next thing if the student isn’t comfortable due to not fully understanding the previous session. I’m patient with my students. And use helpful feed back to communicate and use words of affirmation to encourage their learning development! Learning should always be a safe space and that’s what I offer.
