I have experience tutoring third grade math in addition to working as a TA in a college math class where I was in charge of tutoring and grading. I have taken numerous math classes and also am experienced in college SAT/ACT test prep.

My teaching approach is to gather an understanding of where the student is confused and explain the problem in a different way that may enhance understanding while they work through it on there own. I find that helping them work through problems on their own rather than explaining the answer is more effective for their confidence and reasoning in the long term.
