I am a current college student with a strong interest in academic writing, critical thinking, and effective communication. Alongside my education, I am pursuing a career in firefighting and emergency services, a field that emphasizes discipline, responsibility, professionalism, and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure.

As a student myself, I understand the challenges of academic writing, from developing a compelling thesis to organizing complex ideas into a clear and persuasive argument. I recognize that every student has different strengths, challenges, and learning styles, and I believe effective tutoring requires patience, adaptability, and genuine attention to individual progress.

My focus is on helping students develop confidence in their abilities while strengthening the fundamental skills necessary for successful essay writing. I approach every session with preparation, professionalism, and a commitment to helping students become more capable, independent writers. Above all, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their ideas, and developing a writing style that is distinctly their own.

My approach as a tutor focuses on helping students become confident, independent, and effective writers. I believe strong essay writing begins with the ability to think critically, organize ideas, and communicate and argument clearly. Rather than simply correcting mistakes of doing the work for my students, I work alongside them to develop the skills necessary to produce well structured essays.

Each lesson is unique to the students individual needs and goals. A typical session can include brainstorming ideas, developing a strong central argument or thesis, organizing an outline, strengthening supporting arguments, or reviewing drafts. I lay a big emphasis on essay structure, organization, logical reasoning, and practical uses of evidence. My goal is to help students reach their goals, and develop a strong understanding of what a well written essay displays.

As a current college student, I am still experiencing the expectations and challenges of academic writing. I have learned to enjoy the process of writing essays and am able to bring a patient, approachable, and practical teaching style that encourages students to ask questions and actively participate in the writing process. I primarily focus on helping middle school, high school, and introductory college level students with argumentative essays, rhetorical analyses, research papers, and general academic writing assignments.
