About Kaz
Hey! I'm Kaz (he/him). I love history, literature, and teaching in general. I am a current college student (almost senior). I love getting people to be excited about what I love, and helping people to feel more confident in themselves and their abilities. There is genuinely nothing more rewarding to me than helping people be their best selves. If you're bored with history, I will help you love it. And if you think literature is only stuffy old novels, I'll help you see differently. I'll even make Shakespeare fun! I have a lot of interests and lot of passions, and I'm excited to get to know students. I want us to be a team as much as be your tutor, as I believe that helps. Give me a try!

Simply put: I love history and literature. I love stories, and I love learning how people work. But the school system discourages a genuine love of both of these subjects, and I want to help fix that. Doing well in school is temporary, but a love of history lasts for an entire lifetime. History especially isn't just names and dates, history is about people! I'm very passionate about my subjects. I care about inclusivity and accessibility, and I will do my best to meet your needs as a student. If you have ADHD, are autistic, or are some other type of neurodivergent, I'm your guy. I am also LGBT+ inclusive if you're worried about that sort of thing. If you need alternative study strategies, I got you. Study sessions will be based around your needs, whether it involves studying for a test (I did get 5s in APUSH, AP Lit, and a 4 in AP Euro), or just generally trying to figure out how to make things interesting. Our strategy will be this: by encouraging a genuine love of history and literature, you'll naturally do better in school. Both middle school and high school students welcome! What sets me apart as a tutor? I care. Believe me, there's nothing better than a teacher who loves his subject. Tutoring sessions will be remote and most likely on Zoom.
