About Madalyn

I believe that learning should be a fun and relatable experience. I want you to love learning, not dread it. I have no problem rescheduling or finding solutions if your schedule is full or if you have a learning disability. That's exactly the kind of thing I want to help with, which comes from my own past experience with challenges in my own learning journey. Learning something new can be difficult, so I want to help you reach your goal of excelling. Prices for tutoring can be discussed.

About the lesson

I have taken advanced English classes since I was in middle school. Pre-AP English, and AP English are included in my schooling history. I have also tutored before, and have conducted study groups among my peers. I am very welcoming to all minorities and the LGBTQIA+ community. Before I start teaching, I will give a basic test to see where you're at so I can personalize your learning experience. Homework would be on Quizlet and Khan Academy. Essay and paragraph writing will use Google Docs or Microsoft Word. We will meet over Zoom at an agreed time and date, for 2 hours (minimum). This is what the course would look like: Week one: Spelling and Pronunciation Week two: Grammar and Sentence Structure Week three: Basics on Writing Paragraphs Week four: Finalizing understanding of Paragraph writing Week five: Basics on how to Write an Essay Week six: Essay writing Week seven: Understanding meaning in Literature. Week eight: Summaries of books and paragraphs There will be tests at the end of the learning period for each section. This is simply to review what we have learned, and if I need to take more time reviewing with you. There will be one quiz in the middle of our learning period. I will also teach you how to take proper notes and create successful study guides that apply to every subject.
