My lessons are designed for kindergarten through 2nd-grade students who need support or enrichment in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and early language arts (reading, phonics, understanding poems). Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs but usually follows this structure:
Warm-up and review (5-10 minutes) – Recap previous lessons or homework.
New concept introduction (10-15 minutes) – Introduce and explain the day’s topic with clear examples.
Independent practice and feedback (5-10 minutes) – Let the student try on their own with support.
Wrap-up and homework suggestions (5 minutes) – Summarize and set simple tasks for practice.
I genuinely enjoy working with young learners and understand how to keep their attention while making learning exciting. As a college student, I’m relatable and flexible with scheduling. I tailor lessons to each child’s pace and learning style, making sure they feel successful and motivated.
