About Laura
Hello,
My name is Laura and I am from Australia. I have a background in studying Fine Arts (Drama) units as part of my University Bachelors degree. I have been passionate about english literature, theatre, performance, dance and acting my whole life. Despite pursuing a career for 4 years as a Data Consultant in Australia, none of my creative skills have ever gone to waste and were what have helped to differentiate me in my career thus far. Currently I am on a career break and looking for more flexible work - which is why I am tutoring. I have worked as a tutor before at an Australian University for Data Analytics and I thoroughly enjoy helping other young people learn new techniques and skills that they can add to their toolkit.

Every student is unique and I apply techniques that suit the learning style of the student best. The aim is to equip students with the skills, techniques and confidence to become even better at learning independently in the long run.
Lessons can range from 1hr to 2hrs each.
I have graduated University with a Bachelor of Business (Finance & Economics) with electives from Fine Arts (Drama) course. I have completed a screen acting short course through Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Additionally, I have completed Ballet to a high level through Royal Academy of Dance (Advanced Foundation).
During lessons I can help students learn various techniques in how to brainstorm for assessment pieces, research, structure essays, speak in public contexts and analyse English literature. In terms of drama and theatre I can assist in understanding and deconstructing a vast array of styles including Greek Tragedy, Greek Comedy, Shakespeare, Modernism, Realism, Absurdism and Surrealism.

Laura provided me tutoring for my first year university business unit of data analysis. Laura is very patient and guided me step by step to help me solve and understand the maths problems in a logical manner. As a Law student maths was not my strong point but Laura assisted me so I could pass the data analysis unit.
