About Andrea

I am a doctor of education and I have a degree in composition studies, I have been a teacher for over 10 years. I am a licensed teacher for grades 6-12 in the state of Indiana and I have taught online for over 5 years. I am currently a professor at an online university in composition and have taught ESL and low-level English learners as well as college level essay writing. I am certified by the DRC as a test proctor for the state of Indiana and am very familiar with testing protocols for standardized tests as well and can teach test prep.

About the lesson

I am an online professor teaching composition at the college level, before earning my doctorate I had worked as a high school teacher and had worked with children as young as 6th grade. I have taught every level of English from ESL courses at night school to college composition courses. I am able to teach test prep and college admissions exams - I am also able to help with resume building and writing or presentation and speech writing. I typically use Google Classroom for my students and create a custom course for them based on their needs/goals. I would likely be meeting with students via Zoom or Google Meet and assigning/grading work in Google Classroom. I have taught virtually since 2018 and have a lot of resources for teaching reading and writing in a virtual setting. I am also still a licensed teacher in the state of Indiana for grades 6-12 English.
