About Manuel
I am 29 years old. I am a graduate in Translation and Interpretation (with German, Chinese and Greek, and after graduating I have also started studying Korean). I'm currently studying Computer Science, I will graduate next June.
I love programming and thinking about it, and I have had distinction with honors in all the programming courses. I have coded a lot in C, C ++, C #, Java, Python, JavaScript, Class Script and Prolog, crazy as it may sound. I also love computer graphics, and that's why I also studied, on my own, OpenGL (rendering from terminal), WebGL (rendering from browser) and CG (shader language used in Unity).

I like my students to learn how to approach a programming problem from a more global perspective, from the point of view of the algorithm rather than from that of the implementation. I also focus a lot on resource gathering (how to search if there is what you want to achieve, which is often a challenge, or often times we do not even think about looking for it if you do not know it already) and in conscious debugging (not necessarily with gdb), which is usually one of the biggest failures I've seen in programming students, that of correcting by testing something new before understanding the problem.
It is also very different to program for oneself (although it should not, if we count the self within five years as a teammate) and to program with people, and it is necessary to know how to modify the code accordingly, having very clear the purpose of the comments (say why something is done, instead of what is being done, and not abuse them) and the clarity of the code (program for people, not machines).
