About Michael

I am a teacher who fosters a supportive, judgment-free atmosphere that encourages students to take risks, make mistakes, and grow without fear of failure. I believe that my experience as a professional recording artist and professional touring musician will help inspire and give the confidence to students to help develop their path as a player and an artist.

About the lesson

I like to adapt lessons to each student’s skill level, interests, and learning pace. Some might focus on theory, while others prioritize playing by ear or improvisation. The ability to recognize how a student learns best and adjust the approach is key. My enthusiasm for both the guitar and music in general can be infectious. I want to inspire students not only by their expertise but also by sharing their love for the instrument. Rather than simply teaching techniques, I like to encourage students to experiment, compose, and develop their personal sound. This helps students feel empowered and connected to their music. Also, as someone who has real-world performance or recording experience - I can provide insights into the music industry, stage presence, and live performance tips, which many students find valuable.
