About Owen
I am here to because I wish to provide guidance and clarification to students that may be struggling with truly grasping academic English and Literature, at a crucial point in their development.
I am joining NTU for English, and will aim to become a NIE certified teacher, as I have a strong passion for educating and guiding.
I believe that a strong command for English is important to all, regardless of future pathways and aspirations, and I am here to do my part in ensuring that.

I am 19 as of 2025, just freshly graduated from the Raffles Institution Integrated Programme, with consistent A/Bs for all three subjects of English, Literature and GP throughout the 6 years, and a final A in GP for A Levels.
I have also provided tutoring to underprivileged children for 2 years, weekly, as part of the Raffles Interact Club
I mainly aim to teach Literature or English to:
Secondary School
Primary School
with a particular emphasis on argumentative writing, poetry (for Literature), and to help the student accrue general knowledge of the world around them to support such writings.
I believe every person has a different approach to learning English, Literature or GP and therefore my lessons will generally follow this structure:
- Identifying key struggles that are holding the student back and establish what needs to be done to rectify it
-Case by case lesson plans for the students; catered to the students' needs and wants
- Provide engaging reading/watching materials outside of curriculum to help the student get an intuitive feel for the subject, in an enjoyable way!
- Going through and providing clarification on schoolwork if the student desires, and suggesting effective learning strategies for them outside of the tuition
