About Bennett
I’m a Creative Writing Student at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. My essays have been published in a number of student magazines on campus, as well as in professional journals. I tutored students in high school and revised essays for my peers. I love English, I love writing, and I love teaching. I plan on becoming a professor post-grad to nourish those loves.

I prefer a very hands on approach, because I know that every student is different. English as a subject is different from a lot of other courses because it involves a lot of applying skills rather than recalling information. Reading comprehension and the ability to draw intelligent conclusions are important skills for life that begin in the classroom. My lessons involve practicing these skills through writing exercises, followed by collaborative review. The focus is not on perfection, but improvement.
