About Skylar
I am a credentialed, multiple subject, Teacher in California. I have been teaching for three years, and Tutoring for two years, for a total of five years in the educational field. I’m very passionate about helping students understand their grade level curriculum, and encourage students to continue learning above their grade level once they have met their goals. Additionally, I am passionate about coaching, Rock Climbing, as I have been Climbing for the past five years. I would love to be your child’s tutor and/or rock climbing coach!

As a credentialed classroom teacher, I specialize each lesson plan according to the students’ needs. I teach phonics as part of foundational reading skills needed to understand English reading and writing. For Math, I encourage use of manipulatives so students can visualize their learning. Additionally, I’m a Rock Climbing coach, if you are interested in starting a new physical activity after the Tutoring session.
