About Autumn
You've already taken the first, and most difficult step to achieving academic success: asking for help. That's no joke, it takes courage. I want to assure you that our sessions are free of judgment: regardless of who you are and what your academic needs/goals are, my only concern is making sure you feel comfortable, understood, and achieve your goals. There are no "dumb" questions, and learning is not the same for everyone. We will work together to achieve your goals while maintaining respect, kindness, and you, the student, staying the focus of our sessions.

My approach is student-driven, and is accomplished through making tangible, achievable plans that makes assignments in the English subject approachable and simple.
We will begin by targeting your goal for the session: do you need help developing a thesis statement? Are you struggling with summary and comprehension? Maybe you need someone to proof-read your essay and offer meaningful feedback.
Regardless of where we start, I want to know what you do feel like you understand well. From there, we can work together on guided lesson plans or activities, direct instruction, and then I will allow you to take the lead to show me what you've learned.
I am flexible, patient, and understand that there is no secret to academic success beyond making content feel approachable and taking things one at a time, and in easy-to-understand chunks.
