About Erin
I am a current student at Appalachian State University, majoring in Secondary English Education. I grew up in a family of teachers, me being the fourth generation, and have been passionate about teaching since I was a child. I began substitute teaching during a gap year between high school and my first semester of college, and truly found my calling. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and dissecting classics and am a self-published author currently writing my second novel. I am determined to teach in ways that are psychologically proven to work to foster the highest level of understanding possible.

English lessons for all K-12 students. I use psychologically based methods to ensure an optimal learning environment and the highest level of understanding possible.
All lessons are done using the Pomodoro method, which breaks down active learning/working time into increments of 20 minutes with a 3-minute break in between. All lessons will begin with a warm-up, an active learning time, question time, and then a cool-down. I aim to create a distraction-free environment to ensure proper focus.
