About Bess
I graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in English with a Concentration in Writing. During undergrad, I balanced my degree with a part-time job and being the president of a club sport. Now, I'm a second-year law student at Emory University School of Law. In my free time, I still love to write!

I'm a writer with a background in both literary fiction and academic writing. I've spent years breaking down what makes writing work, from essays across a variety of subjects to creative writing to college and law school essays. I work with students on essay-writing (including structure, grammar, and crafting a strong thesis) as well as college application essays and personal statements.
