About Lewis

Having recently undertaken my GCSEs and A levels, achieving an A* in A-level English Literature and a 100% student exam pass rate, I really understand the difficulties associated with exams. English Literature and Language are both incredibly multifaceted subjects and can sometimes feel very overwhelming. I aim to prepare and support students through their exams, providing reassurance and confidence while helping them achieve their desired results.

About the lesson

My holistic approach to teaching ensures that each student’s individual needs are consistently met. Lessons will follow a clear and structured format, typically consisting of an introductory task, a main activity, a plenary and a reflection, with homework set where appropriate. For students preparing for A Level or GCSE English Literature and/or Language, there will be a strong emphasis on exam technique. I will provide tailored activities designed to develop essay-writing skills, critical thinking and confidence in responding to exam questions. Students are encouraged to complete as many practice essays as they wish, and I will aim to provide detailed, constructive feedback to help them identify areas for improvement and make meaningful progress.

I would highly recommend Lewis to anyone! An absolutely brilliant English tutor who is patient, knowledgeable and really good at explaining things in a way that makes it easy to understand.
