About Elysia
My name is Elysia . Since I was a young girl I have always found the practice of teaching rewarding. I believe everyone should enjoy their education and I promise I will do what I can to ensure that your needs are met in our sessions. I believe communication is essential between teachers and students in order for improvements to be made and I would encourage you to voice any concerns no matter how silly they feel! At the end of the day there is no such thing as a silly question! My prime subjects are History and English which I am currently studying at university and have taken for a level and GCSE therefore I am no stranger to essay writing! Any questions feel free to contact me as I’d be happy to answer!

The structure of my lessons would be as follows:
I would begin with offering a free 30 minute consultation with prospective students in order to gauge their strengths, weaknesses, learning style and needs as well as finding out what they would like to gain from our sessions.
After this a typical session would begin with a review of our aims for the session and a re-cap on previous sessions before delving into activities relating to the topic at hand.
For example if the topic was comparative poetry a session could involve learning how to structure a comparative paragraph as well as expanding upon poetic vocabulary.
Furthermore I would end each session with a fun activity like a quiz or game in order to consolidate the knowledge learnt in an engaging but also different way.
My lessons would be tailored from KS2- GCSE and I would adapt my teaching style and lessons appropriately.
