About Emily
I am a life-long learner constantly reading about all sorts of subjects. I have taught Early Childhood, Kindergarten, Middle Grades, College levels Freshman- Masters Graduates.
I am certified in Florida and Texas. My certification areas include Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Gifted Education, Reading, English for Speakers of Other Languages and Dyslexia Education.
I live with my family and this includes my three fur-babies. I travel extensively, have training in theater, protocol and etiquette. I am active in my church and community. I love to bake, sew and garden.

Concepts (ideas), knowledge base (research facts) and skills (the how-to processes) combine in all lessons.
I use discovery and discussion techniques. Warm-ups, short review, new material and cooperative practice. Into practical utilization of concepts and skills.
Depending upon student and ability levels, lessons are tailored to meet a student at current performance level and move forward.

Details
Sessions will be held in Anna, Tx. Preferably at the Anna Library. There are many study rooms and quiet areas but still public for safety all around. As I am an experienced, multi-state certified teacher with a doctoral degree and have 6 areas of certification my rates are higher than undergrad or beginning teacher rates. Assessment, diagnosis and prescriptive services are part of each lesson. Complete transparency in curriculum and scoring delivered to family with comprehensive reports available after 4 sessions.
